Description

Hilda Loria, MD, MPH, FAAP is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Developmental- Behavioral Pediatrics at UT-Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Loria is a board-certified general pediatrician and currently serves as the Center Medical Director for the Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence in Dallas, Texas. In this role, she contributes her leadership skills to the Center’s clinical, education, and advocacy-driven mission to improve the health and wellbeing of children involved with the child welfare system. Her clinical and advocacy interests focus on the care of vulnerable child populations. In addition to her work at the Center, Dr. Loria is passionate about medical education, serving as an educator and mentor for UT Southwestern medical students, pediatric residents, and fellows. She is also engaged in state and national advocacy through the Texas Pediatric Society and American Academy of Pediatrics.

She completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, pediatrics residency at UT Health San Antonio, and an Academic General Pediatrics fellowship at UT Southwestern. She also has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Loria aspires to leave a lasting impact in her community as a pediatrician, educator, and advocate for children. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, exploring new restaurants, reading, and hanging out with her husband, baby, and their two dogs, Huggy and Derrick.
