Jyotsna Panthee, PsyD is a clinical psychologist at the Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence at Children’s Health. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Psychology Department at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Panthee earned her bachelor’s in psychology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and her doctorate in psychology from Xavier University. She completed her internship at the University of California, Davis CAARE Center, gaining specialization in implementing trauma-informed evidence-based treatments to maltreated youth. Dr. Panthee continued her specialized training by completing her postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Health Clinical Child Psychology program, focusing on providing evidence-based treatments to children and families with trauma exposures. Currently, she works alongside the medical team at the RJC integrated clinic to provide quality behavioral health services to promote well-being of children and families with current or prior involvement in the child welfare system.  As part of the behavioral health team, Dr. Panthee provides evidence-based therapeutic services (TF-CIT, PCIT) and psychological evaluations to her patient families. She also serves on RJC’s Trauma-Informed Organization Assessment (TIOA) workgroup and engages in community outreach to disseminate information related to trauma-informed care.
